Removal of implants
You may wish to remove your implants for various reasons - your body shape may have changed since they were placed, your lifestyle may have changed. Implants over time can form a tight ‘capsule’, which we always explain can happen when placing the initial implants. If this capsule becomes uncomfortable, or changes the shape of your implant, you may simply decide its time to remove the implants.

Removal of implants
Amy has performed dozens of implant removals, including a surge of cases during the PIP implant scandal. She always removes the capsule, returning the breast to natural tissue only.
This is generally performed as a day case operation, without the use of drains.

Perhaps you had implants put in some years ago - they suited you then but your lifestyle, and maybe your body, has changed. You have a reasonable amount of your own breast tissue and would like your old implants removed, but are worried that your natural breast shape will have travelled south! If this is the case, Amy can remove your implants and the capsule, followed by an uplift, or mastopexy, to reshape the breast mound, elevate the nipple and produce a more youthful appearance using your own tissue.
The result will of course be smaller, due to the removal of the implant, but the feeling will be natural and all you. Remember of course that time, and bodies, do not stand still, and the contour of the lifted breast will change and drop as the years go on.
This procedure can be performed as a day case, generally without the use of drains.
Price
The complexity of your particular case will be thoroughly discussed, as this will affect the price. Removal plus mastopexy is a significantly longer, more complex procedure.
